Thanks To So Many Who Believed....

I wanted to give special thanks to so many folks for their encouragement, inspiration, and patience.

Thanks to…

My Terrific Vocalists:
Perry Danos – "Pain of Love"
Jon Christopher Davis – "Kick It" and "Just You"
Jody Nardone – "Don't Leave Me Now" and "Drive On"
Brandi Taylor – "Count on Me"
Tim Waters - "Meant to be Mine"
Chris Raspante - "Little Red Barn"
Brittan Cameron - "Love's More" and "Ripley"
Cory Batton - "White Lightnin'" and "She Struts"

Production/Arrangement Kudos:

Jimmy Maravel, Maravel Music - I miss Jimmy. He was a transplant from New York. Jimmy was such a big supporter and fan of my songwriting style. He kept telling me over and over I had a million dollars worth of ideas in my head and he liked helping me get them out. Jimmy passed abruptly in January 2005. We miss you Jimmy.

Thanks Chris Raspante! Chris is wildly talented. I can develop an idea and he and I can knock out a rough music bed in an hour or two. Usually I just hum the melody to him and he plays a complete rough music bed a few minutes later. Then Chris works his magic to fill in the holes I can't hum - like drums! Also, thanks to his wife Camille for letting me drop in on Sunday nights to tweak a track.

Inspiration:
Kelli and Jon Davis
Chris Parker and Steve Keller – i.v. group
John Rolfe – Boult Cummings
Maria & Billy Ray Caldwell
Laura & Roy Vaughn
Patty & Barry Jarnigan
Carol & Bryan Easterling
Kenny Greenberg
Jeffrey Steele
Ross Genovese
Herky Williams - ASCAP

Special thanks to Connor Caldwell - he asked for the first copy of my first CD.

Most of all I want to give special thanks to my family. Thanks to my family in Kentucky - Lenabelle Harkins, Kara & Johnny Harkins, Susan Harkins, and Vickie Lamb - and to my in-laws in Houston - Miriam and Allan Graber - for waiting patiently to hear the first demo tracks. And for always listening to the all of the ones that have come after.

Thanks to my children - son Joseph and daughter Rebecca - for sharing my music with all of your friends. You know how much I love it when you ask me to put "my" disk in the CD player. I love it when you sing along.

Thanks to my mother for always telling me that she likes my voice on the scratch tracks the best of all. She is clearly tone deaf.

And lastly, thanks to my Lisa - for your love, support and patience. She has always had faith in my ability.

Joe
